Someone broke into a house in the 6100 block of Starview Place in La Plata and stole two shotguns and a handgun between 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 18, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Officers canvassed the area and heard from witnesses who saw a newer model red car and green driving slowly through the area during the time the burglary could have occurred.

Officer K. Syvertsen is investigating.
