Seven new members have been elected to the Hood College Board of Associates, according to a news release.

Elected to serve a three-year term are: Nikki Swartzlander Bamonti of Frederick, senior account manager, Clear Channel Communications; Gary Buchanan of Basking Ridge, N.J., vice president AmWINS Brokerage of New York; John Chickering of Franklin, Mass., vice president, Fidelity Investments; Theresa Coles of Frederick, deputy director, Career Transition Services, Military Officers Association of America; Kathie Jackovitz Harrington of New York, N.Y., former director of annual giving, Morristown-Beard School; Jim Olson of Thurmont, Md., executive officer, principal assistant for research and technology, U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command; Doug Selby of Frederick, president, Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc.

The board, organized in 1954, meets twice a year and serves in an advisory capacity to the president and to the Hood College Board of Trustees, which governs the college.
