As 2012 comes to a close and folks all over ring in 2013, Southern Maryland offers a smorgasbord of New Year’s Eve festivities.
American Legion Post 82 Auxiliary will hold a New Year’s Eve dinner and bingo at 6 p.m. Dec. 31 at the post, 6330 Crain Highway, La Plata. Admission is $45 and includes dinner and bingo. Dinner only is $15. Call 301-934-8221.

Running Hare Vineyard will host its first New Year’s Eve extravaganza 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31 at the vineyard’s Tuscan Events Building, 150 Adelina Road, Prince Frederick. The event is black-tie optional and will feature an open bar, food and music by the Doug Segree Band. Tickets are $150 per person, will not be sold at the door and are nonrefundable.
