Someone removed the lug nuts from a car parked on Kings Wharf Place in Waldorf between Dec. 21 and 22, the Charles County Sheriff's Office reported.

It appears the suspects tried to steal the tires but fled for unknown reasons.

Officer J. Foster is investigating.
