Godson I. Alia, 52, Waldorf

Godson I. Alia, 52, of Waldorf died Dec. 20, 2012, at home.

Born April 26, 1960, in Nigeria, he was the son of Isaac Alia and the late Lydia Iwuchukwu Alia.

Mr. Alia was a security officer for 20 years with the U.S. Department of Defense.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Michelle Cantatore Alia.

A service was held Dec. 29 at Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata. The Rev. Chris Bryan officiated. Burial took place at Heritage Memorial Cemetery, Waldorf.
