George William Tolson Sr., 74, of Waldorf died Dec. 30, 2012, in La Plata.

Born Feb. 27, 1938, in Charles County, he was the son of James Robert Lee Tolson and Mary E. Woodland. He was raised in St. Mary’s County.

The family will receive friends today, Jan. 4, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at National Church of God in Fort Washington. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf.
