James H. “Jim” Garber, 74, of Lusby, formerly of Waynesburg, Pa., died Sept. 20, 2012, at his home, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 274 in Lusby and a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge Patuxent MD 2393 and formerly of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge Waynesburg PA 461. He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fleet Reserve.
A funeral with military honors will take place Friday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m, at Arlington National Cemetery. Friends are asked to meet the family at the administration building by 9:30 a.m., at which time all will proceed to the ceremonial site. Following the funeral, guests are invited to join the family at American Legion Post 274 in Lusby for a celebration of his life.
