An officer arrested three Waldorf teens Monday after catching them fleeing the scene of a reported burglary on Keepsake Place in Waldorf, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Traveon Lashay Hood, 19, Jorden Anthony Ruth, 18, and a 17-year-old boy were charged with theft.

A witness called police at 1:33 p.m. after noticing that a neighbor’s townhouse had been broken into. Officer D. Proctor was the first on the scene and quickly spotted two of the teens on the rear second-story deck of the townhome and saw the third coming out of the house.

Proctor arrested all three teens without incident.

In addition to theft, one boy has been charged with drug possession after Proctor found marijuana on him.

Detectives J. Long and J. Feldman are continuing the investigation.
