The Human Resources Association of Southern Maryland will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Hampton Inn Waldorf at 3750 Crain Highway in Waldorf.
Marisa Sanchez will present this month’s topic. Research shows that organizations with engaged employees have a competitive advantage and are more likely to achieve both revenue and profit goals. Participants will learn the benefits of increasing engagement among employees, discuss strategies to improve engagement and share best practices in employee engagement.
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in Human Resources issues. The cost is $21 for members and $26 for nonmembers, which includes lunch. Deadline for registering is noon Jan. 14. To register, go to hrasmonline.shrm.org/.
HRASM has more than 148 members from the tri-county area who have a special interest in human resources. Its mission is to provide networking, educational, advisory and training opportunities to HR professionals in Southern Maryland.
