Charles County’s Southern Maryland Hawks 6- to 8-year-old division football team claimed its division title and continued on to win the Charles County Presidents' Cup.

The Hawks placed first in their division, with an undefeated season of 10 wins and no losses.

The team then defeated the La Plata Blue Knights in the division playoff season title game at North Point High School on Nov. 10 and went on to win the Presidents' Cup Championship game against the Waldorf Wildcats on Nov. 17, ending its county season with an undefeated record of 12 wins and no losses.

The Hawks won their first-round tournament for states by defeating the Chesapeake Buccaneers 28-0 on Nov. 24 and won at the fifth annual Charles County vs. Calvert County Bi-County Classic Championship game on Dec. 1.
