Charles William Brooks Jr., 40, of Lusby died Jan. 4, 2013, in Washington, D.C.

He worked as an electronic technician for Calvert County Public Schools. He attended Vineyard Deliverance Evangelistic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing keyboard for his church and living his life to please God.

Born March 11, 1972, in Prince Frederick, he was the son of Helen Edna Brooks and the late Charles W. Brooks Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Brooks, originally from St. Mary’s County; his son, Tremaine Brooks; and his mother.

The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m.. until time of service at 11 a.m., at Crossroad Christian Church in St. Leonard. Interment will take place Chesapeake Highlands Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are being handled by Briscoe-Tonic Funeral Home in Waldorf.
