Patricia Fiora and Thomas Meerholz of Huntingtown announce the wedding of their daughter, Ashlyn Fiora Meerholz, to Mark Benjamin Cornett, son of Heidi and Walter Fugate of York, Pa.
The bride is employed as a firefighter for the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.
The groom is employed as a flight engineer for the U.S. Air Force.
Maids of honor were best friend of the bride, Tricia Salta of Edgewater, and sisters of the bride, Alyssa Meerholz of Arlington, Va., and Amara Meerholz of Huntingtown.
Bridesmaids were cousins of the bride, Wendy Gavin of Mechanicsville and Christa Hayden of Chesapeake, Va.; sister-in-law of the bride, Tracie Meerholz of Edgewater; and friends of the bride, Kelly Billingsley of North Beach and Catie Freed of Kerriville, Texas.
Flower girl was the niece of the bride, Camdyn Meerholz of Edgewater.
Best men were father of the groom, Walter Fugate of York, Pa., and best friend of the groom, Bryant Billingsley of North Beach.
Groomsmen were friends of the groom, Andrew Brown of Chesapeake Beach, Shawn Watkins of Friendship, Justin Trumpower of Waldorf and Timothy Vigotsky of Alexandria, Va.; and brother of the bride, Collin Meerholz of Edgewater.
Ring bearers were brothers of the groom, Dakota and Jager Fugate of York, Pa.
The wedding was held Oct. 12, 2012, at Herrington Harbor in Rose Haven and was officiated by the Rev. Roland Hayden. A reception followed.
The couple resides in Chesapeake Beach.
