David Ray Liller Sr., 70, White Plains
David Ray “Pap” Liller Sr., 70, of White Plains died Jan. 8, 2013, at Charles County Hospice House, Waldorf.
Born Aug. 16, 1941, in Wheeling, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ellsworth Liller and the late Virginia Schillingburg Liller.
He was a commercial contractor and owner of D&J Liller Inc. in Woodbridge, Va., for 40 years and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served from 1960 to 1964. He loved the Washington Redskins, eating out and his pets, Buggy and Buddy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Bob, Zeke and Charlie Liller.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Joyce E. Liller; children, Carrie E. Wrigley of Boca Raton, Fla., Kim Donoho of North Carolina, Lynn and her husband Tom Farrell of Annapolis, Lana Liller of Annapolis, Lisa and her husband Barry Wilner of Stafford, Va., David Liller Jr. of Hagerstown and Daniel R. Liller of Hagerstown; stepchildren, Charles E. and his wife Tammy Richards of Spotsylvania, Va., Beki and her husband Keith Walker of Gloucester, Va,, David M. and his wife Tammy Richards of Culpepper, Va., Cyndie and her husband Kevin Cushman of Bealton, Va., and Shannon Richards of White Plains; brothers, Carl and his wife Sandy Liller of Corapolis, Pa., and Richard and his wife Bernadette Liller of Beaver, Pa.; and sisters, Ruby and her husband Jerry Cole of Pennsylvania and Naomi and her husband Dan Lemly of Pennsylvania.
A gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Jan. 14 at Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata. The Rev. Robert Carter will officiate. Burial is private.
