Great Mills traveled to McDonough on Wednesday night and earned a one-point overtime victory, thanks to two clutch free throws from Robert Wright in the end.
It was the second straight victory of the season over the Rams, defeating them in a 60-57 encounter in the first game of the season on Dec. 5 in a nonconference matchup at home.
Melquan Williams led the Hornets with 23 points, while Raymond McLeod added 18 points.
Great Mills (6-4, 1-0 SMAC) handed McDonough (6-4, 0-2) its second straight SMAC loss.
The Hornets will host Lackey at 7 tonight.
