SEED 42, Calverton 41
Cole Ranier scored a game-high 24 points but the visiting Cougars (5-4, 1-2 MISAL) dropped a one-point decision to SEED School of Baltimore County on Wednesday.
The Cougars started out cold and fell behind 18-5 after the first quarter but battled back to get back into the game, only to lose on a free throw by Malik Alexander in the final second.
Calverton was 4 of 13 from the free-throw line and missed a half dozen layups.
It was Seed’s first win of the year and Calverton’s fourth straight loss after starting the season with five wins.
Ty Herriott and Nick Nwadike each added six points for Calverton.
