Police are investigating a shooting in the Bannister area Tuesday afternoon that left one man who was driving through the Waldorf neighborhood with a graze gunshot wound.
Preliminary information indicated the man was not seriously injured and that the bullet had grazed but not embedded itself in his body, Charles County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Diane Richardson said.
Officers received three calls around the same time that seem to be related to the same incident — one concerning a suspicious person in the Bannister area, another reporting the sound of gunshots and a third from the man, who said he was in his car when he was shot, Richardson said.
