First in a series of notes keeping tabs on the race for county executive.
Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett (D) said he has yet to meet with the supporters who asked him to sit down this January and talk about possibly seeking re-election.
Work on county budgets as well as efforts to push lawmakers in Annapolis for transportation funding have kept him busy so far this year, he said.
But Leggett said he has people “lined up for the next several months wanting to sit down and talk to me.”
Leggett said two years ago he would not seek a third term as executive, but late last year agreed to meet with supporters in January and possibly reconsider.
