The fourth-grade class of Grace Lutheran School got the opportunity to meet La Plata Mayor Roy Hale when he came by the school for a visit on Dec. 19. The students will be participating in an essay contest titled ”If I were Mayor.” Hale came to speak to the students and to answer questions about the responsibilities of the mayor’s office.
