Vivian Marie Kelly Garner, 86, Beverly Hills, Fla.
Vivian Marie Kelly Garner, 86, of Beverly Hills, Fla., died Jan. 10, 2013, at Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Pa.
Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Oleton M. and the late Elsie Savage Kelly.
She was a wonderful mother. She also was the “neighborhood” mother, to whom all the children would talk. She was meticulous about taking care of her home. She was a strong woman who taught her children appreciation of reading and music. In addition, she enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Garner Sr., who died in 2007.
She is survived by her sons, the Rev. James L. Jr. and his wife Sharon Garner of Ephrata and Timothy and his wife Suzan Garner of Stephenson, Va.; grandchildren, Michael Kelly and his wife Carissa Garner of Pelham, Ala., Jennifer and her husband Mark Delaney of Loveland, Ohio, James L. Garner III of Bensalem, Pa., and Jacob Sellman Garner of Dallas, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Brady, Colin and Noah Delaney and Jake and Quinn Garner; and sisters, Margaret Willett of Maryland and Dixie Lee Morgan of Supply, N.C.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 23 at Christ Episcopal Church, La Plata. The Rev. Joseph Trigg will officiate. Burial will take place at Mount Rest Cemetery, La Plata.
Memorial contributions may be made to a church or a favorite charity.
