All St. Mary’s public schools dismissed two hours early today, Thursday, Jan. 17, due to forecasts of inclement weather. All afternoon and evening activities were cancelled and there was no afternoon prekindergarten.

In addition, there is no school scheduled for students tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 18, as it is a professional day for teachers. All staff should report on time on Friday; any word about weather-related closings for staff will be communicated Friday morning.

Monday, Jan. 21, is a holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and all schools and offices are closed.

Until further notice, all scheduled weekend school activities are expected to proceed as planned.

The Southern Maryland Higher Education Center will be closing at 5 p.m. today. All evening activities, including GED testing, are cancelled.
