A 68-year-old Prince Frederick man was killed in a single-vehicle collision Friday morning near Barstow.

According to a Maryland State Police press release, troopers responded to the intersection of Buena Vista and Gott roads at about 8:33 a.m. Friday morning for a report of a single-vehicle crash. Police determined Guillermo Zambrano had been driving a 1995 Nissan truck east on Buena Vista Road, approaching the intersection of Gott Road. While approaching the intersection, the truck left the roadway and struck a tree before stopping in a wooded area. Zambrano died from his injuries. Police said he was wearing a seatbelt and neither alcohol nor drugs were involved in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
