The Chase family held a 100th birthday party Saturday for matriarch Hazel Chase of Chesapeake Beach at the Mt. Hope Community Center in Sunderland. Chase turned 100 on Jan. 9. Clockwise from lower left are her granddaughter Sonja Chase, nurse Ade Busoye and daughter Josephine Chase. Hazel has 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
