The Charles County Family Day Care Association recently elected board members for the upcoming year.
The 2012 board of officers were re-elected.
The officers look forward to bringing more fun and members to the association.
Wendy Dingus is the president, Charmin Parks and Clare Foss will serve as vice presidents, Lauren Hall is the secretary, Barbara Farmer is the treasurer and Rebecca Hancock is the state representative.
Last year, the association volunteered four times with the Adopt- A-Road cleanup program on Davis Road.
It held a provider appreciation dinner and training with 100 participants in May, and in June it held a craft make-and-take for its members.
Trainings were held twice a month for providers and parents and in October the association held a Growing Minds, Growing Futures conference with 85 participants and 35 vendors.
The association is a professional organization for family child care providers who are registered by the Maryland State Department of Education’s Office of Child Care.
The group’s mission is to provide and promote professional and quality child care services to families in Charles County.
One of the benefits is monthly training and networking opportunities for parents and providers.
