The Seventh District Optimist Club presents a check for $3,000 to Marine Lance Cpl. Caleb Getscher last month at American Legion Post 221 in Avenue. The funds were raised from the Freedom Fest fundraiser to help pay for the costs for Getscher’s transportation costs as he travels between his home in Chaptico and the Bethesda Naval Medical Center.
