Bishop McNamara hires new football coach -- Gazette.Net

Keith Goganious has been hired as Bishop McNamara High School’s football coach.

Bishop McNamara athletic director Tony Johnson confirmed the hiring, which was first reported by The Washington Post.

“He has a presence about himself that just demands attention,” Johnson said. “His personality is infectious, and there’s an enthusiasm. He’s very enthusiastic about what he does, very passionate. Those things come through, and we certainly hope that those things can reach and touch our kids.”

Goganious spent the previous four years as a Hampton University assistant, including three years as defensive coordinator. He previously worked as North Point High School’s head football coach.

Johnson said Goganious will also serve as assistant athletic director at Bishop McNamara.
