Joshua Klotz has been hired as Richard Montgomery High School's football coach.
Klotz, who previously worked as Quince Orchard's offensive coordinator, and Richard Montgomery athletic director Jonathan Freda confirmed the hire, which was first reported by Mocovox.
Freda said Klotz “blew everybody away in the interview.”
“Multiple questions we asked him, he had already prepared documents and examples,” Freda said. “I'm sure he anticipated what we would ask, but he was able to reference his binder he handed out to everybody while we were asking him questions. And again, just the detail and the preparation you could tell that he took to prepare for the interview is kind of indicative of the work that you assume he's going to do as the coach.”
Freda said both sides prefer Klotz, who teaches English at Quince Orchard, teach at Richard Montgomery next year, but that it's too early to determine whether that will happen.
