First tangible sign of winter arrives

Wayne Mister, foreman of grounds and autos for Calvert County Public Schools, clears the snow from the Mutual Elementary School parking lot Thursday. Schools were closed and crews were clearing the overnight snow in preparation for opening on Friday. More snow is forecast for this afternoon and evening.
