Appraiser Henry Lane Hull, right, explains the potential worth of cross-stitch work by Helen Burns of Waldorf that took three years to complete. She brought the artwork, which she stitched over a pattern of a painting by a South Carolina artist, to the annual appraiser fair held Saturday at St. Clement’s Island Museum. Dozens of people from around the region visited the Colton’s Point museum and paid a fee to find out the value of art, dolls, coins, jewelry or other items.
