Winston Churchill High School drama students will present Bus Stop, a dramatic comedy by William Inge at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, in the school’s Bish Auditorium, 11300 Gainsborough Road, Potomac.
Bus Stop follows a group of strangers traveling by bus, stranded in a rural Kansas diner during a freak snowstorm. Eight characters experience frustration, tears and laughter, examine their own motivations and forge unlikely romantic connections in a single night.
“Bus Stop is an endearing, deceptively simple play that taps into universal feelings,” Churchill director Lynda Scionti said in a news release. “I have wanted to direct this production for some time and it finally came together with this cast at Churchill. We have wonderfully gifted actors and designers who together will bring Inge’s work to life in a most remarkable way.”
