The Girl Scouts of Middletown, Jefferson and Myersville will celebrate World Thinking Day Feb. 8, by honoring their sister scouts living in other countries.

The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Middletown High School cafeteria, at 200 Schoolhouse Drive in Middletown. The rain date is Feb. 22.

The theme of the program, “Together We Can Save Lives,” will focus on reducing child mortality rates around the world. Donations of infant supplies will be accepted at the door and donated to the Middletown Food Bank.

A silent auction will also be taking place, with donations going to the Girl Scout programs, training and camps.

Finally, each child attending will receive a special passport to be stamped by the eighteen different countries that will be represented. Prizes will be given to those children receiving the most stamps.
