The Forest Heights Community Development Corporation has appointed an executive director to lead the organization.
James A. Dula, who was a U.S. Air Force major from 1967 to 1997, is now an entrepreneur and founder of James Dula Consulting and is a member of the Governor’s Commission on Small Business. Between 2006 and 2008, he served as president and CEO of the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce.
Forest Heights is a southern Prince George’s County municipality with roughly 2,500 residents near the Capital Beltway, according to town officials.
According to Forest Heights officials, the CDC exists to strengthen business and help shape the town through planning and advocacy and assist the town and its residents with obtaining grants and promoting civic and cultural events.
“I am happy to serve as the executive director and work with the greater community so that our unified efforts will yield great benefits for all concerned,” Dula said in a statement. “The growth and development of the Town of Forest Heights/Oxon Hill area is an opportunity for residents to acquire employment so they may provide for families in a greater way.”
