“The Indian Head Center for the Arts, which houses the Black Box Theatre, will hold a Valentine’s fundraiser Feb. 15.
“All That Jazz,” will be held at 6 p.m. at the Jaycees center at 3090 Crain Highway in Waldorf. The event will feature vocalist Jennifer Cooper and GrooveSpan, a group of local musicians, consisting of Carl Reichelt on guitar, Alex Dean on violin, Bill Hones on bass and Paul Christian on drums. The group covers a repertoire that includes everything from vintage jazz standards to classic rock. However, special request, they will delight with sounds of Sinatra-era music, as well as other jazz favorites, organizers said.
The event also will include dinner, dancing and a silent auction. More than 25 auctions items will be available, including furs, jewelry and art.
Singles, couples and groups are all welcome. Seating is limited. Tickets are $55 for singles or $100 per couple. Tables for larger groups are also available.
Preferred attire is jazz-inspired smart casual.
