Leonard Alexander Jameson Jr., 69, Byrdstown, Tenn.

Leonard Alexander “Linny” Jameson Jr., 69, of Byrdstown, Tenn., died Jan. 25, 2013, at home.

Born March 1, 1943, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Leonard Alexander Jameson Sr. and the late Elizabeth McDermott Jameson Litz.

Mr. Jameson worked as a computer systems analyst for the U.S. State Department. In 1996, he retired and moved to Pickett County, Tenn., where he enjoyed many rounds of golf, working on antique cars and fishing on Dale Hollow Lake. An avid sports fan, he often followed the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patsy” Clevenger Jameson; daughter, Karen White of Brandywine; sons, Ronnie Jameson of Mechanicsville and Paul Jameson of Hollywood; sisters, Donna Conway of Cape Coral, Fla., Debbie Herbert of Dunkirk and Gayle Clare of Providence, R.I.; and eight grandchildren.

A life celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. with prayers at 7 p.m. Feb. 1 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Feb. 2 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bryantown. The Rev. Rory T. Conley will officiate.
