Prince George’s County police have recovered the car belonging to a shooting victim killed Monday in Landover.

The shooter allegedly drove off with Keith Massaton Watson’s 2004 Audi A6 after shooting and killing him inside an industrial building in the 8500 block of Rainswood Drive near the Capital Beltway.

Officers found the car Thursday in the 300 block of Hillside Terrace in Landover, about five miles south of the crime scene, police said. An anonymous tip from the county’s Crime Solvers tip line led police to the vehicle, which was abandoned when officers arrived, according to police.

Police said the car is now being processed for evidence.

Watson, 48, of Upper Marlboro was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds just after 1 p.m. Monday, police said.

A phone number for Watson’s residence could not be located.

Police are seeking suspects and trying to determine a motive in the case. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the department’s homicide unit at 301-772-4925, or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS to remain anonymous.
