Kirby named to honor roll at Okla. Baptist

Amanda Kirby of Waldorf was named to the president’s honor roll for the fall semester at Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee.

She is studying early childhood education and elementary education.

She is a senior and will graduate in December. She is the daughter of Nina Kirby of Waldorf and John Kirby of Shadyside.

McMichael named to honor roll

Kristyn McMichael of Waldorf, a senior early childhood education major, was named to the president’s honor roll at Oklahoma Baptist University, Shawnee.

Haldeman named to dean’s list at Marshall

Matthew Haldeman, a graduate of Maurice J. McDonough High School, was named to the dean’s list at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., for the fall semester.

He is a physics major and is minoring in voice.

He is the son of John and Lisa Haldeman.

Forsythe graduates

Brian Forsythe of Bryantown graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan.

D’Alessandro earns bachelor’s from Towson

Regina Alicia D’Alessandro received a bachelor’s in psychology from Towson University in Towson in December.

She earned dean’s list honors in the spring and fall semesters.

A 2007 graduate of Henry E. Lackey High School, she is the daughter of John and Karen D’Alessandro of Indian Head.

Hayes named president of sorority

Marlea Hayes, a 2010 graduate of Thomas Stone High School, was named president of the Gamma Pi chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at University of Tampa.

She attended the Alpha Chi Omega Leadership Academy in Indianapolis

Hayes is a pre-law major.

She is the daughter of David and Debra Hayes of Waldorf.

Levendusky named to dean’s list

Jenna Levendusky, a junior at Towson University, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.

She was awarded a Maryland House of Delegates scholarship for the 2012-13 school year.

Levendusky is an early childhood education major.

Locals named to Shepherd U’s dean’s list

Christopher A. Mashinski of La Plata and Dale H. Cook of Pomfret were named to the dean’s list of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
