A Bryans Road man has been charged with driving while impaired and other traffic offenses after admitting to driving while on prescription medication during a Friday traffic stop on Pomfret Road east of its intersection with Phillips Road in Pomfret, the Maryland State Police La Plata barrack reported.
Tony James Corona, 37, was driving a black Toyota Avalon west when Cpl. Wilson pulled him over for speeding at 9:05 p.m.
Corona submitted to but failed field sobriety tests and told Wilson he had taken prescription medication.
A breath test and evaluation led to Corona being charged with driving while impaired by drugs, negligent driving, speeding and failure to drive on the right side of the roadway.
