Last week, I was trapped in a two-hour shut down on Route 228/Berry Road due to an unfortunate accident with no alternative detour routes.
During this time, I remembered reading in the Independent about the county’s proposed Billingsley Road cross-county connector project and realized that I do not know the status of this project. I feel that we need to complete the Billingsley Road expansion project. This will ease the congestion on Route 228/Berry Road and help prevent future accidents.
We are still in heavy population growth in the White Plains/Waldorf areas, and that means we need to keep up with the required infrastructure to accommodate that growth, which means more connector roads that will allow us to gain access to U.S. 301 and Route 210.
