Blue Crabs meeting

Charles County Commissioner Ken Robinson (D) invites residents to join him and Blue Crabs general manager Patrick Day at 11 a.m. Feb. 9, at the Regency Furniture Stadium Legends Club at 11765 St. Linus Drive in Waldorf.

There will be no formal agenda and refreshments will be provided. Reservations are not required. Robinson will have the meeting videotaped for online viewing.

Softball league looking for teams

The Southern Maryland All-Faith Church Softball League is looking for men’s and/or coed church softball teams for this upcoming spring season.

The league’s first meeting for coaches will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at Lifestream Church of the Nazarene in Waldorf. For more information, call Bobby Kern during the daytime at 301-609-4420.

Adult softball league

Charles County Department of Public Works will hold registration for its spring adult softball league Feb. 25 to March 15.

Teams may register at the Department of Public Works, 1001 Radio Station Road in La Plata, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Adult baseball players wanted

Alumni football

Gridiron Alumni is planning several full contact alumni football games this spring.

Players are needed to sign up and the first 40 players on each team get to play. The team that gets 30 people registered first gets home field advantage.

Teams from North Point, Thomas Stone and Westlake as well as other area teams are forming now. Gridiron Alumni is targeting more of the biggest rivalries in the nation for its Gridiron Alumni Rivalry Series.
