Prince George’s County police are seeking a 21-year-old in connection with a non-fatal shooting that allegedly stemmed from a robbery in Fort Washington.

Jeff Allen Crews of the 4400 block of F Street in southeast Washington, D.C., is being sought in connection with the shooting of a man during a robbery in the 2500 block of Corning Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Jan. 17, according to county police.

Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a county police spokesman, said the man who was shot received only minor injuries and was treated.

A phone number for Crews’ residence could not be located.

According to online county court records, Crews was found guilty in April 2011 for illegally transporting a handgun in November 2010. For that, he was sentenced to one year in prison and three years of supervised release. He was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, theft and related charges but those were dropped, according to court records.

Anyone with information on Crews’ whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s police department’s regional investigation division at 301-749-5064 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS to remain anonymous.
