James Franklin “Jimmy” Lang, 55, of Lexington Park, formerly of Ridge, died Jan. 28, 2013, in Laurel, surrounded by his family.

Born Oct. 28, 1957, in Leonardtown, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Lang Sr. and Eunice L. Ridgell Lang.

He is survived by his siblings, Renee’ Raynor (Frank) of Orange Park, Fla., Tony Lang (Eileen) of Hollywood, Melissa Siebilia of Middleburg, Fla., Veronica Lang of Madison, Wis., Harry Lang of Waldorf, Chris Lang of Edgewood, Texas , Deenie Compton (Bill) of Jacksonville, Fla., Cheryl Herron (Bob) of Indiana, Michael Lang (Brenda Sivak) of Dunkirk and George Lang (Stefanie Clark) of Emory, Texas; and brother in-law, Harry Berg of Leonardtown. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Berg of Leonardtown.

He graduated from Great Mills High School.

The family received friends and prayers were recited Feb. 1 at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home in Leonardtown. A graveside service was held Feb. 2 at First Friendship United Methodist Cemetery in Ridge. The Rev. Elizabeth Jackson officiated. Pallbearers were Tony Lang, Chris Lang, Michael Lang, George Lang, Howie Berg and Jimmy Sexton.
