Officials from the Maryland State Highway Administration and CSX will meet Feb. 14 to inspect the railway crossing on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf and discuss possible repairs, officials said.
Representatives of SHA and the railroad company will examine rubber plates and steel in the westbound lane at the crossing, said SHA spokeswoman Kellie Boulware.
“For the average driver, it appears to be a bumpy ride,” she said.
CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan confirmed the meeting but declined to comment further.
The announcement came after Charles County Commissioner Ken Robinson (D) complained about the situation at the board’s meeting last week, saying that “SHA has been very cooperative, but CSX is responsible” for the crossing.
