Alice Diane Windsor, 66, Cumberland

Alice Diane Windsor, 66, of Cumberland, formerly of Brandywine, died Feb. 4, 2013, at home.

Born Jan. 10, 1947, in Upper Marlboro, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. Richards Sr. and the late Alice Naomi Hall Richards.

She worked in a deli as a food prep cook and retired in 1999. She enjoyed cooking, watching TV, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Walter Windsor; and brothers, Robert A. Richards and Francis W. Richards.

She is survived by her children, Tracy M. Murphy of Cumberland, Gail L. Hardesty of Lothian, Gary M. Windsor of Lothian and Stephen and his wife Chris Windsor of Cheltenham; brothers, Frank S. Richards Jr. and Clayton Richards, both of Brandywine; grandchildren, Richard Windsor of Brandywine, Brandan Murphy, Rebecca Murphy, Shelly Murphy, Aaron Murphy and Brittany Murphy, all of Cumberland, and Megan and Wade Windsor of Cheltenham; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa Murphy, Alix Murphy and Jaden Dilley, all of Cumberland,

A life celebration will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Feb. 14 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall. A service and burial will be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 15 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Churchwell, John Guillickson, Shawn Farrell, Berry “Chubby” Garner III, Phillip Farrell and Berry “Bubba” Garner Jr. Alternate pallbearer will be Wade Windsor. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert “Buck” Young, Elsie Young and Elsie Dent.
