Ruth Elizabeth Beall, 91, Mechanicsville

Ruth Elizabeth Beall, 92, of Mechanicsville died Feb. 5, 2013, at St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Leonardtown.

Born July 2, 1920, in Glendale, she was the daughter of the late Warren P. Rifenbark and the late Lillian E. P. Reich Rifenbark.

She was the manager of the Food Fountain at Peoples Drug Store for 20 years and retired because of her health. She moved in with her family and helped in the home. She loved watching soap operas and reading romance novels. She was known as “Nauny.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles O. Beall; brothers, Warren Rifenbark, Charles Rifenbark and Archie Rifenbark; and sisters, Mary Hickerson, Rose Beyer and Betty Rector.

She is survived by her sons, Louis E. Beall and his wife Leona, James C. Beall and his wife Lucy and Thomas J. Brady and his wife Carol; daughters, Joyce A. Davis and her husband Leonard and Ruth E. Cox and her husband Ray; sister, Pauline Walker; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A life celebration will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Feb. 12 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall. Burial will take place at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood.
