Gordon E. Sessions Sr., 81, Bryans Road

Gordon E. Sessions Sr., 81, of Bryans Road died Feb. 4, 2013.

Born Feb. 10, 1931, in Winchendon, Mass., he was the son of the late Frank and the late Helen E. Sessions.

Mr. Sessions served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1952. He was employed by the Washington Gas Light Co. He enjoyed gardening and cooking and loved animals.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn K. Sessions.

He is survived by his children, Arlene and her husband Rick Nowacki, Gordon E. Jr. and his wife Tammy Sessions and Carolyn Gordon; grandchildren, Earl and his wife Erin Sessions, Billy and his wife Rachel Sessions, Chris and his wife Sophia Holbert and Kimberly Holbert; great-grandson, Conner Jacob Sessions; brothers, Lloyd and his wife Song Sessions and Steve Sessions; and sisters, Faye Testagrossa and Carleta and her husband Francis Driscoll.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Feb. 8 at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton. The Rev. James E. Chance will officiate. Burial with military honors will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland.
