AARP Tax-Aide counselors will begin preparing taxes Monday, Feb. 11. This program is open to low- to moderate-income senior citizens, aged 50-plus. Appointments are required and can be scheduled now by calling one of the three senior centers.
Intergenerational Camp seeks volunteers
The annual Intergenerational Camp will be held July 15 through 19. Persons interested in volunteering can contact the Office on Aging at 410-535-4606 or 301-855-1170 to fill out a volunteer application by the end of March.

Enjoy two days of bird fun. Come to a presentation, “Supporting Wild Birds in Winter,” on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 12:30 p.m., and learn how to provide extra food for the wild birds. Then, make a treat for the birds, Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. at Winter Craft: Suet Ball for Wild Birds. All materials will be provided.
Dress in a favorite red or pink outfit for the Valentine’s Day Party, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. Enjoy music, games, prizes and refreshments.
Take a trip
Enjoy a tour of Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday, March 6. Highlights include a demo by the 316th Security Forces K-9 military working dogs, a tour of the KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueling military aircraft and the 1st Helicopter Squadron that is used to transport the president and other dignitaries. The $40 fee includes transportation, tour and lunch at the Courses Buffet.
Embark on a journey with Noah and his family at the Sight and Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pa., Thursday, April 11. Watch as he builds his boat and has hundreds of animals enter the great ark that surrounds the audience on three sides of the 300-foot stage. The $115 includes transportation, show and a family-style dinner.
