Heather McCully, daughter of Cathy McCully and the late Joseph McCully, and Andrew Beckett, son of Theresa and Mike Beckett, were married Aug. 4, 2012, in a waterfront ceremony at Herrington Harbor Marina.
A reception followed at the Polynesian Ballroom.
Roxy and Grace, the couple’s yellow Labrador retriever and Yorkshire terrier, were the ring bearers.
Shannon McCully, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Friends Kara Gross, Molly Simpson, Lindsey Lawrence and Ambur Mangum were bridesmaids.
Kyle Beckett, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Friends Matt Kreigh, Brian Lawrence and Daniel Gonzalez served as groomsmen.
Joseph McCully, brother of the bride, served in absentia while assigned at officer candidate school with the U.S. Army National Guard.
Family and friends attended from Maryland and Virginia, as well as Alaska, Florida, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Colorado and West Virginia.
The night ended with fireworks over the water.
The bride graduated from Maurice J. McDonough High School and Frostburg State University.
She works at the U.S. Census Bureau.
The groom graduated from Henry E. Lackey High School and is a lieutenant with the Alexandria City Fire Department.
They honeymooned in St. Maarten and reside in Hughesville.
