Evelyn L. Miller, 66, of Squires, Mo., formerly of Wicomico Shores, died Feb. 5, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Born Oct. 24, 1946, in Springfield, she was the daughter of Frank T. and Lola E. (King) Gray.
She was an intelligence analyst for Navy Intelligence for 21 years, from 1976 to 1997. She was a member of Ava United Methodist Church.
On Sept. 30, 1995, on the Miller family homestead, she married Paul Eugene Miller Jr. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother of Mansfield, Mo.; children, Pam Wormington, of Monett, Mo., and Kenneth Whittaker of Marshfield, Mo.; stepchildren, Paul Miller III and his wife, Michelle, and Kenny Miller and his wife, Amy, both of Maryland; two sisters, Francis Dedmon of Mansfield and Priscilla Logan of Seymour, Mo.; six granddaughters, Alex Whittaker of Marshfield, Nicole Wormington of Monett, Kimberly Wormington of Marionville, Mo., and Sadie Miller and Kaitlynn and Victoria Zacher, all of Maryland; and one grandson, Dalton Alexander of Republic, Mo.
The family received friends Feb. 13 at the chapel building at New Life Church in La Plata. The Rev. Chris Bryan officiated. Interment followed at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf. Pallbearers were Paul Miller III, Brad Miller, Artie Miller, Wes Miller, Larry Dixon and Kirk Wormington.
Arrangements were handled by Raymond Funeral Service in La Plata.
