Stone 6, La Plata 4 (NC)

Sean Bucior scored 25 seconds apart early in the third period to help the Cougars (3-10, 1-9) pull away and post a win against La Plata last Wednesday at the Capital Clubhouse.

Stone held a 4-3 lead, but Bucior’s pair help the Cougars pull away and snap a five-game losing slide. Teammate Hunter Stempin added a goal and three helpers and Tommy Callahan scored once and assisted on two others.

Benjamin Allston and Charles George also each scored a goal and James Brown and Cameron Cassidy each earned an assist. Kira Maginnis stopped 19 of 23 shots.

The Warriors (4-11-1, 3-6-1) received a three-goal effort from Andrew Keelan and a goal and an assist courtesy of Joshua Wenzinger. Jake DeLozier and Zeke Cochran each added two assists and Jack Brockmann added one assist. Trevor Abell stopped 16 shots in goal.

St. Mary’s Ryken 10, La Plata 2

Brennan (3 goals, 2 assists) and Meyers (2 goals, 3 assists) each had five points to help Ryken roll over La Plata on Friday at the Capital Clubhouse.

Blondino added two goals and two assists and A.J. Fortescue had three assists. Sebastian Meizoso had a goal and an assist and Chris Forte and Patrick Bouchard each scored one goal.

Isabel Hearn had an assist. John Bouchard stopped 21 of 23 shots in the Knights’ goal.

The Warriors received a goal each from Keelan and Jesse Boyden and an assist each courtesy of Wenzinger and Cochran.

Abell turned aside 17 shots for La Plata, which is winless (0-5-1) in its last six.
