Irene Louise Pardoe, 97, of Lusby died Feb.12, 2013, at her beloved home.
She was born Jan. 5, 1916, in Island Creek to the late Blanche and Walter E. Elliott.
She was raised and lived in Calvert County all of her life. She attended Calvert County public schools and was employed by the U.S. Post Office as a postal clerk for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl G. Pardoe; parents; brother, Leroy Elliott; nephew, Patrick Elliott; and nieces, Agnes Allegra and Virginia Mishou.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Elliott; nephews, Jeffrey H. Elliott, Mark L. Elliott, Donald Dowell, Wayne Pardoe and David Pardoe; nieces, Eula Mae McCready, Suzanne Cibulay, Norma Lee Buckler and Geraldine Pardoe; great-nieces, Jennifer C. Albrecht and Magdalyn Albrecht; great-great-nephew, Chad Albrecht; and great-great-nieces, Emily Elliott and Caisi Elliott.
Family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Rausch Funeral Home in Lusby, where a funeral service celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles Harrell officiating.
Pallbearers are Jeffrey H. Elliott, Mark L. Elliott, Herschel Wilder, Leon Crout, Donald Dowell and Wayne Pardoe.
Interment will follow at Middleham and St. Peter’s Episcopal Church Cemetery in Lusby.
