John Warren Swanson, 65, Sparta, N.J.

John Warren “Jack” Swanson, 65, of Sparta, N.J., died Jan. 31, 2013, near Sparta.

He was the son of the late Charles W. and the late Charlotte Swanson of St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.

He is survived by his wife, Alla; brother, William C. and his wife Reata of Waldorf; nieces, Connie and her husband David Meinhardt of Upper Marlboro, Cassie and her husband Charles Wilson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Carrie Swanson of Washington, D.C.; nephew, David Swanson of Waldorf; and great-nieces and -nephews.

A memorial service was held Feb. 16 at Goble Funeral Home, Sparta.
